Colorado '76

In the Spring of 1976, my brother Johnny and I drove his 1969 Camaro to Ft Collins, Colorado, to visit our friend Ray Mapes and his wife Jullee. This picture was taken at a restaurant in Denver. I am on the left, Johnny is on the right, and Ray is facing the camera. Jullee took the picture.

When we were driving home, we were somewhere in the plains, out of radio range. We were getting tired of the one tape we had, Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton. Johnny pulled the tape out of the player and threw it out of the window. Now what do we listen to? At the next truck stop, we bought a couple of tapes. I don't recall what they were, but they were not the one we listened to for hours and hours before. I love the Frampton Comes Alive album now as I did at the beginning of that trip.
