Not Rocket Science

I have had more fun working with the group I am in at work than I have in my entire career. The intelligence level is high among these people, and I am nowhere near as smart as these folks, yet they accept me as one of them. They look to me for computer-related stuff, however.

The guy across the aisle from my cube (he transferred here from the ISS Mission Control) said he has a meeting soon and wants to use his laptop because it has everything he needs. Was it possible to hook up his laptop in a conference room that already has a computer? I said, “Sure! I can help with that if needed. It is not Rocket Science.” He responded, “Rocket Science I can do. Just not sure about plugging in a laptop.”

I laughed and offered to meet him there to help, but he said he would figure out how to hook it up.

I asked him the next day how it went, and he said all was good.
