Mecum

We are looking forward to going to Mecum Auction next Saturday. We have been going for several years because it is the best car show ever. You are expected to inspect cars in detail, as everyone is a potential buyer. Last year, I sat behind the steering wheel of an authentic '68 Z/28 Survivor. That was the highlight of my day. I would have loved to trailer it back home.

Anyway, I wrote this about the time we went to Mecum several years ago.

Here is what I wrote in 2019:

When Jennifer and I were walking across the parking lot to go into the Auction this morning, she asked why we were walking so fast. I really did not realize we were, but not to be without reason, I said, “Walking out in the open like this, we could be in the scope of a sniper from one of those buildings. Just trying to save your life”.

She actually told me to shut up.
