Love of Animals
Yesterday, I was outside the building at work near the duck ponds, taking a picture of someone who earned an award. As I was about to take the photos, I felt something poke me on my right calf. I looked down, and there was a large duck. It was sort of like he was saying hello to me. I said, "Well, hello!" he looked at me like we were old friends. I thought that was cool!
This morning, as I was driving to work, I was on the road behind Johnson Space Center when I saw something crossing the road. I slowed down, then stopped while a momma raccoon and her two young ones crossed the road. She ran across while her young ones seemed to take their time. As I watched them, they were actually running; it was their short legs that kept them from going fast. Their little legs were going as fast as they could. One of them paused and looked right at me. From his viewpoint, all he saw was the bright lights of the Tahoe. To me, it looked like he was saying, 'Thanks for stopping'.
I think animals of all kinds are cool. Except for snakes, I don't like snakes.
