Dialogue

As I took a break in the garage, the song "Dialogue" by Chicago played over the sound system. Funny how a song like this makes you reminisce. In the summer of 1972, I was invited by a group from a church in LaMarque, TX to go backpacking for a couple of weeks in Colorado. When we left on that trip in two vans, I did not know anyone, but we all had the same passion: backpacking in the mountains. I had been several times before in different mountainous areas. Colorado was my favorite.

One night, as we all sat around a campfire, I listened to several guys talk about this new song, 'Dialogue' by Chicago. These guys were really into music and loved talking about that song. They quoted the song word by word and analyzed the meaning behind each phrase.

Personally, I had heard that song, but music doesn't move me like it does some people. I like listening to tunes but rarely follow the words or meaning behind them.

I think it is cool how everyone is made differently. I can fix just about anything except Sheetrock (I don't do Sheetrock), but others can pick up any instrument and play. There are so many skills people have that, as a group, you can do just about anything.
