Saturated

Last weekend, on February 10th, we had torrential rain that caused flooding in our area. We got several inches of rain in a few hours, so the water couldn't move fast enough once it hit the ground. I just heard that the water did not soak into the ground as it normally would because the ground here is still saturated from the Harvey Flood.

Last evening, I drove around our neighborhood and was saddened to see that every house still shows signs of flood damage. Only a few families are living in the neighborhood, mostly in FEMA trailers. Our family has really been blessed by how quickly we have been able to get our house back to a livable condition. We still have work to do, but at least we are home. Continuing to pray for my neighbors.
